Tour description:
Day 1: Our transport will pass you in the afternoon at the selected location. Do you will continue to Monteverde to arrive in the evening to your hotel. Optionally you can visit restaurants and night spots in the area.
Day 2: In the morning after having breakfast, when the approximately 8:15 am our guide and transport they will drive you to visit the Cloud Forest Reserve. The Cloud Forest Reserve Elena has abundance of epiphytes (plants that grow on other plants), which reach their greatest diversity in this medium. Like beauty bromeliads, orchids, tree trunks and branches are almost covered with lichens, mosses and liverworts, the latter with more diversity. Such density of these and including epiphytes are extremely important during dry periods as stored water then flows to the lowlands.
Arriving at the reserve, do you will walk with our guide on the trails, with 3.4 miles away, and about 2:30 hours, which appreciate the beautiful greenery of this place and the possibility of see birds and mammals in the area.
After appreciating nature, return to Santa Elena town and they leave the restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch with typical Costa Rican dishes, with options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. On your own you can go back to the hotel or visit places around town.
Around 12:45 pm, you go through so they made The Canopy Tour or suspension bridges, by choice. This tour lasts for 2 hours. It is based on crossing the cloud forest on cables and platforms in the treetops.
After performing the Canopy or suspension bridges tour, return to your hotel, and will be approximately 5:10 pm, will be taken for a night walk in the forest, an average of 2 hours duration. On this walk you will appreciate the nightlife of animals, birds, amphibians and many others waiting for the evening to make their daily activities. When finished return to your hotel and have the evening free for your enjoyment.
Day 3: At 8:00 am average, transport will be brought back to their destination. Here ends the tour two nights in Monteverde.
